Ballet

The Royal Ballet is known as one of the oldest ballet companies in the world

and is closely connected with the name August Bournonville, the 18th century

founder of the Danish ballet. To this very day, Bournonville’s works are

presented in that spirit, and this tradition has remained unbroken through the

years.

The Royal Ballet covers a wide field in time, geography and style, and this
